Bergen County Golf
The Department of Parks offers exceptional opportunities for our area golfers. Five courses range from the foot hills of the Ramapo Mountains to the meadowlands of southern Bergen County ensuring a pleasurable setting for every round.
Registered golfers can book tee times online or by phone at 201-336-7277. The golf courses are open from mid-March to mid-December weather and conditions permitting. Please call the golf courses for the daily conditions.

New Maintenance Day Schedule
Each of the Bergen County golf courses close nine holes once per week for maintenance. Customers play the same nine twice in order to complete their 18-hole round. Nine hole rates are available on maintenence days. The following schedule is is now in place:
Monday - Orchard Hills
Tuesday - Darlington
Wednesday - Overpeck, Valley Brook
Thursday - Rockleigh
New Standby Policy
A new standby policy will be in affect for the 2013 season. Registered golfers will now be able to book same day tee times in person or over the phone. These times will become available when the doors open, for walk-ins, and ½ hour before the first tee time over the phone.
Same day available tee times will be distributed on a first-come first-serve basis. Players can reserve any available time by walking up to the counter or by phoning the golf course.
Important things to know:
- Only registered golfers may reserve a same day tee time.
- Same day tee times will be available for booking when the doors open for walk-in customers and ½ hour before the first tee time over the phone.
- Reservations will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
- Same day phone reservations are made by calling the golf course not the automated tee time system.
- The reservation fee of $3 (residents) or $5 (non-residents) applies to these reservations.
- The no show fee of $5 per person will apply to these reservations if the players do not play.
The standby board will still be available for golfers who choose to wait for available times. However, reservations for all times will be accepted until 20 minutes before the tee time. Those who choose to standby for a time will not be charged the reservation fee but there is a risk of losing the time to someone who books it 20 minutes before the time.
